These terms govern use of the Ontario Osteopathic and Alternative Medicine Association (OOAMA) website, including its directory, educational resources, enquiry forms, and assistant. Read them together with the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the website.
Information and educational use
The website provides general association and educational information. It does not provide individual medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, legal advice, or insurance advice. Using it does not establish a practitioner–patient relationship. Consult an appropriately qualified professional about your own circumstances. The website and chat are not emergency services.
Practitioners and published information
The member directory contains published information maintained by the association. A listing is not a guarantee of current membership, credentials, availability, suitability, treatment outcomes, or insurance acceptance. Confirm current status with OOAMA and discuss services directly with the practitioner. Association membership and professional licensure are distinct.
Source summaries, course details, prices, and policies may change or contain errors. Some linked notices are historical. Confirm details before making a decision or payment. Where a summary differs from an original policy, seek clarification from the association. Illustrative images do not represent actual members, patients, or association events.
Enquiries, membership, and courses
The contact form saves enquiries in the private administration system and uses Resend for acknowledgements and administrator notifications when email is configured. The membership form saves information for review in the association’s private administration system. Submitting a form is not membership approval, course enrolment, care booking, or payment, and it does not replace required supporting documents. Confirm receipt and next steps directly with OOAMA where timing matters. The chat cannot send an enquiry for you. No online checkout or secure document-upload service is provided.
Membership, education, insurance, and practitioner services may have separate eligibility, fee, cancellation, refund, and professional requirements. Obtain and review the applicable terms directly before proceeding. These website terms do not replace those agreements or any rights provided by law.
Assistant use
The assistant is an automated information tool, not a clinician or association staff member. It may use prepared website guidance or AI-generated replies. Answers can be inaccurate or incomplete and must be confirmed where they affect care, membership, fees, insurance, or other important decisions.
Do not enter patient records, sensitive health information, identity documents, passwords, or payment details. The assistant cannot verify current membership, assess symptoms, approve applications, or complete transactions. Information handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
Responsible use and content
Use the website lawfully and provide accurate information when contacting the association. Do not impersonate others, send harmful or unlawful material, harvest directory information for unsolicited marketing, disrupt the website, bypass access controls, or interfere with other visitors.
Content, branding, and third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. You may read and share links to the website and retain material for personal reference where permitted by law. Do not imply an endorsement or reproduce protected branding or content without the required permission. Linking to another provider does not endorse or control its services.
Availability and responsibility
Reasonable efforts are made to present useful information, but the website and assistant are provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted service, completeness, or accuracy. Features may be changed or suspended, including to address misuse or security issues.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Changes will be posted with an updated date and apply prospectively. These terms do not alter an existing separate agreement without the notice or agreement required by law.
