The association’s original information includes five additional approaches. These brief descriptions explain the topics; they are not treatment recommendations.
Homeopathy
An approach involving individually selected, often highly diluted substances. The original page’s efficacy claims should not be read as established evidence or a reason to delay necessary medical care.
Acupuncture
A practice with roots in China that uses fine needles at selected points. Experiences vary. Qualified practice and infection prevention matter; improperly delivered treatment can cause pain, infection, or organ injury.
Aromatherapy
The use of plant-derived aromatic oils and fragrances. The original page discusses lavender, eucalyptus, rose, jasmine, citrus, and other oils. It does not establish that these oils cure disease.
Reflexology
Pressure applied to areas of the hands or feet, within a tradition that links these areas to the body.
Hypnosis
An approach using focused attention and altered awareness, described in the source in relation to behavioural and personal change.
